San Diego residents should expect mild weather changes and a little increase in temperatures this weekend, according to the National Weather Service San Diego.
Coastal temperatures will be slightly above average, ranging from 68 to 76 degrees on Saturday, while inland valleys will witness a minor uptick, reaching roughly 5 degrees over average for the season.
The high desert should expect temperatures between 63 and 66 degrees, while the low desert will warm up to a comfortable 73 to 77 degrees.
Northeast to east winds of 35 mph or less are forecast to remain along the mountain’s coastal slopes into Saturday morning, gradually diminishing throughout the day.
A weak upper-level low-pressure system is expected to approach slowly towards the coast, as indicated by an increase in high clouds through Saturday; but, “chances for measurable rainfall will remain below 10 percent,” according to the NWS San Diego region forecast discussion.
For experienced mariners sailing the Pacific, the weekend’s maritime outlook is clear, with no severe weather forecasted until Tuesday.
Aviation reports also suggest promising conditions, with SCT-BKN high clouds over 20,000 feet and unrestricted vision lasting till Friday night, providing a smooth ride for incoming and outgoing flights.
Local weather spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions this weekend, even though Skywarn activation has not been requested.
The NWS San Diego is keeping an eye on the mild weather movements through next week, forecasting temperature patterns to remain close to seasonal averages.
