Ridgecrest, CA – A man from Phoenix was taken into custody in Ridgecrest on suspicion of stealing five hundred gallons of diesel.
An arrest was made of a Phoenix resident who was accused of placing a device in Ridgecrest with the intention of stealing around 500 gallons of diesel fuel. According to the police, he was arrested for same offenses in Los Angeles County just one week before to this incident.
According to the Ridgecrest Police Department, officers were dispatched to Flyers Gas Station, located in the 200 block of North China Lake Boulevard, on Christmas Eve morning at approximately 12:35 a.m., in response to a suspicious box truck that had been parked there for a number of hours.
A resident of Phoenix, Arizona named Noel Perez Delgado, who was 42 years old, was the person whom the officers spoke to when they arrived.
Investigators discovered that Perez Delgado had put a device into the gas pump, which enabled him to pump fuel without paying for it. This was discovered by the police during their inquiry.
It was discovered that the back of the box truck contained large gas tanks that contained around 500 gallons of diesel fuel that had been stolen.
In addition to multiple other counts relating to the crime, Perez Delgado was taken into custody.
After that, he was taken into custody and released from the Kern County jail in Mojave. As evidence, the box truck was taken into custody.
According to the authorities, it is noteworthy that Perez Delgado had been jailed for accusations that were very similar to those in Los Angeles County just one week before.
