West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio Weather Warmer Temps Before Rain Arrives

Chilly conditions giving way to milder weather in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio

Following a period of extremely cold wind chills, we can expect a warming trend in the coming days, leading to above-normal temperatures as we head into next week. Friday will see highs in the 30s, Saturday will warm up to the 40s, and Sunday will reach the 50s. However, expect rain to return late Sunday night into early Monday morning.

Rain will move out and then return from the southwest on Tuesday, as indicated by medium-range weather models.

On Wednesday, expect a third wave of rain moving in from the southwest, pushed eastward by a cold front. Rain is expected in most regions, but the mountains of West Virginia might experience a wintry mix along with strong winds late Wednesday.

Some areas are expected to receive approximately an inch of rain from late Sunday through Wednesday.

The region will experience a shift from very cold temperatures to around 10 degrees above normal at the beginning of next week.
