Castle Rock, CO – A Colorado town has approved a measure that endorses the immigration policies of the former president.
Last week, a town council in Colorado approved a resolution backing the immigration policies proposed by President-elect Donald Trump.
The Castle Rock Town Council has shown its backing for a resolution that expresses strong support for the immigration policies of President-Elect Donald Trump, along with a commitment to cooperate lawfully with federal immigration officials in their implementation.
The resolution states that the nation is experiencing a growing influx of individuals residing without authorization. It references research indicating that “unauthorized migrants” contribute to a “financial burden on public resources.”
The statement highlights that there are worries regarding the impact of unauthorized immigration on the safety and welfare of citizens, particularly emphasizing that individuals who engage in criminal activities should not be present in the country at all.

The statement indicates that the city of Denver, along with Denver County, Denver Public Schools, and various government agencies, has collectively allocated “$356 million to assist migrants.”
Six members of the council expressed their support for the resolution. Councilmember Ryan Hollingshead expressed his position by voting present on this matter.
The council explained its decision to pass this legislation by referencing the recent increase in crime in Aurora.
This week, reports indicate that 19 individuals believed to be associated with Tren de Aragua were apprehended in Aurora on charges of home invasion and kidnapping.
Councilmember Tim Dietz emphasized that ensuring public safety is of utmost importance to him, stating that this resolution focuses on taking a proactive approach.
Dietz noted that Castle Rock stands out as one of the final bastions of conservatism in its region. The community, home to approximately 81,415 residents, is situated nearly 40 minutes away from Dever.
Councilmember Max Brooks emphasized the importance of individuals obtaining legal citizenship in this country.
Castle Rock is approximately a 35-minute drive from Aurora.
