During the chilly winter months, a nice cup of hot chocolate can bring both warmth and peace. It is a festive drink that is loved by people of all ages. Hot chocolate is now available at Starbucks, McDonald’s, the Red Zone, and even in premixed packets at the grocery store — but we have gathered the best hot chocolate recipe around for true HC lovers!

You will need:
- ¼ cup granulated sugar (or more, if desired)
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 4 cups whole milk
- ½ cup semisweet chocolate (chips, chunks, or shavings)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
To make, simply follow these steps:
- In a saucepan, whisk together the sugar and cocoa powder.
- Add milk, chocolate chunks, and vanilla.
