Teacher profile: Mrs. Hancock
Madison County High School is filled with many wonderful and caring staff members. This week’s teacher spotlight is brought to one vibrant teacher in particular: Mrs. Hancock. This is her second year at MCHS, and she has taught for 20 years overall. In the past, she has taught every grade from preschool to college. Many of her students claim she is their favorite teacher because she has a kind heart and an outstanding personality. “A good teacher is also a good student,” Hancock says. A key factor into being a teacher is also allowing yourself to learn, whether that is from a student or co- workers. A fun fact about Mrs. Hancock is that she met her husband in 10th grade literature. Although the school days can be stressful, she says coffee is what keeps her going. She realized she wanted to be a teacher because loves reading and writing. Outside of school, Mrs. Hancock loves her 130 pound Newfoundland, Melly. She also loves jamming to Brittney Spears; her favorite songs are “Oops I did it again,” “Circus,” and “Toxic.” Mrs. Hancock is one of many great staff members of MCHS, and we would just love to thank her for her hard work!
