Harris removes name from consideration

Madison County High School Interim Principal Jonathan Harris officially removed his name from consideration for the principal opening at MCHS this Monday, Jan. 23.

In a letter to the high school’s staff, Harris elaborated on feeling “a weight the past few days that [he] couldn’t shake.”  Though he is prepared for the principal’s duties, he is unable to “fully commit in the way that students, teachers, and the community deserve in the coming years.”

Harris emphasized how highly he thinks of the MCHS students and staff, and how he has a “heavy heart” making such a difficult decision. Though he will not be continuing in the same role next year, Harris looks forward to all that MCHS will accomplish before the conclusion of the 2022-2023 school year.
