Formal dances are a world wide experience that many students prepare for and get extremely excited for. It is a time to dance, hang out with friends, and overall create memories that will last a lifetime. When thinking of formal dances, many think of prom which is what’s right around the corner for Madison County High School. We encourage all students to attend prom, for it is an exceptionally entertaining and enjoyable event. It’s a chance to get dressed up and live out that cliché high school experience most of us only know from movies and Instagram feeds.

Some fun activities to do before prom is to take pictures at a nice place or even your own backyard with a group of friends, your date, or even solo. You could also go out to eat, go bowling, walk around downtown Athens, and so much more. The choice is yours! After prom there’s so much you can do as well like go out with friends or hang out with someone and have a sleepover. The activities you can do before and after prom are endless, and these experiences add to the greatness of prom memories.

At the MCHS prom, there will be food and drinks around every corner you look, bright lights, and dancing circles. It’s a time for everyone to bond in the school and have a great time. There will be music to enjoy and plenty of people to talk to and hang out with, prom adds the possibility to gain new relationships due to the positive atmosphere. Although it is too late to bring people from other schools, there are some steps to take in order to attend prom. If you are a junior you are to pay junior dues which are $100 dollars which you then take to Mrs. Simons where you will receive a check and your prom ticket. If you are a senior and you have paid your dues last year, you have nothing to pay, but if you did not pay your dues last year you will need to do it this year in order to attend prom etc.

Prom is an experience everyone needs to endure at least once in their lifetime. It is a chance to live out your last few moments of high school to the fullest and create memories that you will remember for the rest of your life. We cannot wait for prom and are excited to see everyone there living out their high school experience! (The date, times, location and address are listed below.)
