Out of sight, out of mind: Birth chart compatibility

Out+of+sight%2C+out+of+mind%3A+Birth+chart+compatibility

With Valentine’s Day just ending and love in the air, we must talk about one of the most uncomfortable topics regarding relationships: compatibility. Compatibility may seem like it does not have much of an effect on a relationship, but it really controls how the relationship will flow. Will there be good communication? That depends on compatibility. Will there be an equal amount of energy put into the relationship? That depends on compatibility. But how do we actually tell whether we are compatible with someone? Well, that depends on your entire astrological chart.

For starters, your sun sign has almost nothing to do with this. You will need to know your entire birth chart for this, more specifically your venus, moon, mercury, and sometimes your mars. These planet names are not making any sense to most people, I assume. So here is a list of each planet you need to know.

  • Sun- individuality
  • Moon- emotions and your inner world
  • Rising- how you present yourself and how others perceive you
  • Venus- love
  • Mars- anger and passion/dominance
  • Pluto- hidden desires (Not an impact on anyone- generational sign planet)
  • Neptune- spirituality (Not an impact on anyone- generational sign planet)
  • Uranus- freedom (Not an impact on anyone- generational sign planet)

Now that everyone has a basic knowledge of what each planet represents, let us go into detail on what you need to know for compatibility. You might want to ask your partner for their birthdate, birth time, and place of birth for this to really be specific. First, look at both moon signs, venus, mercury, and mars. For example, say you have a Taurus moon and your partner has a Cancer moon it will be highly compatible since both moon signs have motherly traits. Someone with a Cancer moon will push their emotions down and never open up about what really bothers them. They will also be very nurturing to others, but when their emotions are bothered they will snap. But if said person has a partner, or friend, with a Taurus moon they will find that his/her emotions will not only be understood without having to speak to them, but they are also grounded. Cancer moons tend to react out of love and do not allow themselves to become angry, as they cry when they are mad. However, they are highly protective of those they love, especially that person’s emotions, which is really good for a Taurus moon.

Another thing that is usually helpful as well is looking at your Venus, then your friend/partner’s big three. (Hint: Big three is your sun, moon, and rising placements) If your Venus is in Aquarius, for example, and your person has Aquarius in their big three, you could be highly compatible with them.

For those confused as to which sign is compatible with which sign, here is some help:

  • Taurus- Scorpio, Virgo, Pisces, and Capricorn
